At StuDev, we welcome students from all around the world because everyone brings their own unique experiences and potential to make a difference:

We do not at this time collect information on things such as socioeconomic background, gender identity, orientation, or ethnicity. As much as we recognize their benefits in developing diversity in our organization, we do keep our vetting processes largely blind to those demographic features and focus more on understanding what potential members have done and what they can do for us.

Should demographic factors affect those focuses, then we are happy to discuss with the member. However, we do not find necessity to request such information upfront from our potential members during the application process at this time. The information that we are providing above comes courtesy of resumes.

In some ways, this is dictated by the nature of the work. Code does not care about socioeconomic background nor orientation nor identity. It either works, or it does not. The same can be said for digital marketing and design. Because the work is being distributed under your organization or your brand, it is the output and its ability to engage end users that counts.
